This Week in Pictures

It’s been such an exciting week over here in my little “corner” of the web. I went to a few parties, even.

(Cough) Twitter parties. (Cough)

Okay, I lied. I didn’t even go to those. I’m still not 100% sure what they even are to be honest.

But, I thought it would be fun to share my week in pictures. Because, believe it or not, someone as asocial as me still does have an opportunity or two to find some fun things to photograph.

Such as this…

Breaking news:  It appears that Quicktrip now carries a pastry very similar to the American classic “Bear Claw.” They call it “Bear Dung.”

HOW was this not sold out?

In the world of fashion…

Old Navy now has a “posted” policy regarding the sale of their beheaded mannequins, despite their obvious popularity. And this just before the holidays?

Old Navy, you disappoint me.

Three things happened when I saw this at American Eagle:

1) I realized I am officially too old to shop at American Eagle.
2) I grew concerned for the future of fraternity fashion when I flipped it over.

3) I longed for the days of popped collars.

I learned that diamonds are a 6 to 12-month-old’s best friend.

And here I thought it was breast milk.

In the world of sports…

Garageball was a huge hit for children and parents alike. The kids got exercise and mommy didn’t have to explain to the neighbors why she was wearing the same thing she wore the last time they saw her…three days ago.

I found out what happens to your face when/if you eat one of the aforementioned “Bear Dung” pastries from Quicktrip.

Probably not so much the muscle part, though.

Hubby brought me a midnight snack and reminded me that happiness in marriage really is about the little things sometimes.

And chocolate.

Brian and I went to our usual Barnes & Noble for date night this week – it was off the CHAINS! (Or is it chain? Shesh. I’d make a really awkward rapper.)

Anyhow, we sat down at one of their tables, and someone was kind enough to leave this book sitting there:

This was THE SAME DAY I wrote the post about the Gluten free girl and how I wanted to throw an egg at her kid.

I’m a little paranoid now.

(The moon is shining bright.)

In technology…

I learned that some books are just better left untitled.

This may or may not have caused me a bit of indigestion this week.

iFreakedOut

I learned that it is important to let your fellow motorists know not only how many of you there are in the vehicle but also your film preferences.

Finally, our baby girl…

…is a little less “baby” this week as she stood alone for the first time!

How did this happen so fast?

Was your week as exciting as mine?

Great blog. Don’t think my week could top that. Loved the picture of JJ playing hoops. Reminded me of my childhood when I played with a tennis ball and a small basket that strawberries came in that I taped to the garage door. Good times!

What a week you had!! Love that Brian brings your chocolate as a Happy Face! Averi is getting so big! She will be walking before you know it. And then the fun begins! I am impressed with the garage. I have never seen the floor! Good Job!!!

Mama, I’m impressed. You nearly got through that comment without a backhanded compliment. Well done! (You see how I just the same thing? It’s called heredity.)

Ha, ha! Josh said that the book should just have said “iPad for Dumb Seniors.”
