Motherhood a la Social Media

I think the fact that I sit at my computer and do stuff like this—for fun—makes the content of the following graphic even more applicable. I’m ashamed to say that I’m that mom at times.

Motherhood a la Social Media

I can’t be the only mom who is guilty of this.

What are some of your “Sorry, sweetie. Mommy is busy . . .” sentences?

PS – Since Facebook has now made it impossible for me to reach all of my followers (people who chose to “like” my page) without paying a fortune, most of you will not see my posts come through your Facebook feed. Please subscribe (on the right side of this page) in order to get my posts to your email inbox. I promise I won’t send spammy junk—only my Katy in a Corner posts. You will receive a confirmation email, so please check your spam folder if you don’t see it immediately. THANK YOU!

This is so funny. When they grow up, they’ll just come right out and tell you that you spend way to much time on there, and ask you if you even have a life!

Oh, I will SOOOO stalk my kids on social media when they’re older. If that’s even a thing by then. I don’t even want to think what terrible, mind-numbing invention could come along after social media. (Well, my comment just took a depressing turn, didn’t it?)

Good stuff. I remember a similar time with our 3 year old son [who is now a surgeon]. He kept interrupting me while I was trying to read the paper. I repeatedly asked him to stop tugging at me. I finally just looked him in the eye and said GOODBYE. He left & I thought I had made my point. However, he returned a few minutes later with a question…. ”How did you know I was leaving ?” I just laughed & gave him a big hug.

That is so sweet! And it must have made quite an impact on you since you still remember it. I try to remind myself at least once a day that I can’t get these moments back once they’re all grown up, but I’ll admit that it’s hard when they’re both begging for my attention at the same time. 🙂

5 year old to me: Can you hurry up I need to update my blog
