They’re baaaaaaaaaaaack!
[What’s back?]
The McRib sandwich at McDonald’s!
I’m just kidding. I’ve never eaten a McRib in my life. But if you’re a fan, I did find this handy dandy website that records McRib “sightings” all across our great nation.
You can thank me in 15 years when all 70 McRib ingredients have processed out of your colon.
[Okay, food snob. Move it along, please.]
Where was I . . .?
Oh, yeah. THEY’RE BACK! My how-to vlogs, I mean.
And for the first time ever I have created a how-to video for the toddlers out there. This one is all about how toddlers can annoy their parents in the car without getting into trouble. Parents, you can thank me the next time you’re on a road trip.
Parents, what would you add to my list?
That is soooooo perfect, and accurate! My kids do exactly that all the time! If I had to add anything, it would be taking off articles of clothing/accessories that they can put back on themselves. For example, Ramey regularly pulls out her hair bows/clips and then complains the entire trip about hair being in her face. Nice one, Rames.
Yesssss! Averi does the hair thing too. I’ve stopped fixing her hair until we get to our destination. It’s just frustrating otherwise.
I have been enjoying your blog for awhile now, thank you for putting this out into the world. Today’s post was spot on! My toddler uses inside voice and sits right behind me (the driver) in my minivan and I have had to pull the car over to get her to speak to me in a voice I can hear….of course THEN she uses her outside voice.
I think they’re all in it together, Alisha!
Absolutely perfect! Love your ‘acting the toddler’. You ARE great! Thanks for sharing. Dona
Thanks, Dona! I’ve always had a talent for acting like a child. 🙂
I would add: if you’re not yet potty trained… secretly raid the diaper bag of all the diapers before your mommy sees it. Hold in your poops all morning. Start the day before, if you can. Wait until you are more than half-way to your destination and then let them go. Make sure they are really smelly, and if you can include some loud gas in there that would be good too. The more obvious, the better. It’ll drive your mom nuts AND make her feel like a bad mother for not properly packing the diaper bag before leaving the house! Plus, you will probably get to go back home instead of having to be out running all those errands (where she WON’T let you throw your toys on the nasty floor).
My daughter is 14 months old and just about has this one perfected.
Haha! You’ve got your work cut out for you too, Heather. Strategic bowel movements are sheer genius.
Big news for you parents of toddlers – the same techniques that are polished to perfection in those early years resurface during the teen years.
Thanks for the heads up, Monica! 🙂
