Parental Guidance Suggested

discipline

In case you’re wondering where I’ve been this week, I present to you this photo series to give you an idea. Basically, Brian has had a week full of 14-hour work days, so I’ve been busy as a referee, nursemaid, and the exhausted person who finds herself screaming things like, “Please don’t jump on the table,” “We don’t eat bugs,” and “PLEASE don’t climb the fence!”

Here are 10 Pre-Discipline Photos for your viewing pleasure. Note:  These are just the photos I complied in the past few weeks. I could probably publish an entire book called Parental Guidance Suggested.

“Children, PLEASE don’t jump on the bed. THAT’S why we had to duct tape the mattress!”

I have no idea what he’s thinking here, but it can’t be good…

“Averi…SERIOUSLY, don’t eat mommy’s lipstick. Also, it’s dangerous to put stuff in your ears. I SAID…”

[Why is the picture below on a series about discipline? Does she not have a heart?]

discipline_06

“JJ, please don’t twist your sister’s arm.”

discipline_07

She’s totally going to hate me for this one day.

I don’t know WHAT he did, but that face tells me THAT he did.

discipline_04

“Averi, please don’t eat the Triscuits off the floor…(*SIGH*)…oh, go ahead.”

discipline_03

I can’t even count the number of times per day I have to ask Averi to stop playing on my computer. And let’s just all pretend like I didn’t buy a mustache pacifier.

discipline_02

“For the last time, Averi, STOP JUMPING ON THE TABLE!”

Supernanny would have an absolute field day in our house.

She’d say, “Mum, you have to put down the camera and IMMEDIATELY discipline your children! They need to go straight to the naughty step.”

And I’d say, “Supernanny, you obviously don’t read my blog. Because this is basically the best kind of material.”

Okay, so I want to see YOUR “Parental Guidance Suggested” photos!

Feel free to email them to me at katy (at) katyinacorner (dot) com. I’ll choose the best photo(s) to publish here on the blog! So please be sure it isn’t truly dangerous and/or illegal. Because I really don’t want that on my conscience.

Oh man! I had one opportunity for a picture yesterday!!! But I got busy cleaning the paint out of the rug, carpet and couches before got dry.. oh and then I bathe my daughter because her hair, hands and entire face were completely covered with hot pink paint… Next time I promise I won’t panic, and I’ll grab my camera right away!!

Elissa R I have to say that snapping these photos is sometimes the only thing that keeps me from “snapping.” 🙂 Honestly, though, it helps me see the humor in it if I know I’m going to document it as blackmail. Keep that camera handy, Elissa, and send away next time! Thanks for reading!!!

My best one is on my FB blog header. My sons, when they were younger. The youngest standing behind the oldest, crying and crying, while the older looks at the camera confused like he has no idea why his brother is crying. Priceless. When I first saw the pic of your daughter, I thought you photoshopped that mustache on. Hilarious! And btw, I’m going to BlogHer after all. We’ll get to meet. Yay!
